Therapy For Veterans
Therapy for Veterans can help save your marriage, save your family, save your life; this is the vision of Camaraderie Foundation for which I am honored to be a provider. Camaraderie Foundation offers counseling scholarships for service members and their family members to ease your financial burden and promote the benefits of counseling.
So many people choose military service as a career path for compassionate, brave, heroic reasons. But the transition from the battlefield back to everyday life is not easy. During your service the military provided you a structure that helped organize and direct your life with clear objectives and protocols that guided you. Civilian life is different; more flexible, less reliable and less predictable in many ways.
What makes the transition to civilian life hard is the loss of the external structure that once helped you have a clear sense of purpose and direction
The result can be feelings of anxiety, depression helplessness or worse.
Reaching out to find the right therapist to help is difficult. We’re so often conditioned to assume that we should be able to handle life’s challenges on our own, but the fact is that’s just not true. Having a therapist who understands your transition and possesses a unique set of skills specifically meant to help people move through their struggles is often the key ingredient one needs to get on the path to feeling better.
My specialties with Veterans include:
- Anger Management
- Marital and Relationship Issues
- Child/Adolescent Therapy
You know what you want to achieve – sometimes so clearly you can taste it. If you’re motivated to experience less anxiety, less depression and more hopefulness then therapy for veterans is right for you. Together, we can create real change to achieve the life you want.
